Cialis – effective solution to ED

While many conditions and health problems can cause erectile dysfunction or ED, statistics show that age also plays an important role. However, that does not mean that it is inevitable as men age and there is nothing you can do about it. Treatment options do exist for the person who suffers with ED.

Growing Older

Studies show that ED begins to develop and be diagnosed in men as early as 40 years of age. An occasional issue with erection does not mean that a man has ED. In fact, it is usually only diagnosed when there is a problem about 75 percent of the time.

You may think you are too young to have this problem or that you are the only one who does if you are still relatively young. However, studies show that up to 40 percent of men at age 40 have some level of ED. By age 70, that increases to 70 percent. Total ED increases from 5 percent to 15 percent with the aging process.

Health Matters

These statistics should not lead you to assume that it is going to happen to you and there's nothing you can do about it. Much of the increase in ED with age is due to changes in health that happen as you get older. For instance, cardiovascular disease, altherosclerosis, and kidney disease can all cause ED. Diabetes is also a leading factor since almost one of every two men with the disease also have ED.

Other factors such as lifestyle also contribute to the issue. Smoking, heavy drinking, and drug abuse can lead to ED. Continued behaviors contribute to the issue over time, which is why you see a greater number of older men experiencing ED. Men who are overweight also have a higher likelihood of developing Ed.

One of the best things you can do to minimize your risk of developing ED or improving your issues with it if you currently experience erectile dysfunction is to make lifestyle changes to be healthier. If you are young, you can make these changes now to live a healthier, happier life as you get older. However, if you are middle age or older and already have some ED, you may be able to improve it by making healthy choices.

Your doctor can also prescribe medication such as Cialis to help reduce the symptoms of ED. Because many other factors can also cause ED, it is best to get it diagnosed and treated with a physician. Such things as surgery and medication can contribute to the problem. If this is the case, Cialis and other treatments may be your best option.

Getting older does not have to mean that it is a certainty that you will have ED. While some factors are beyond your control, the main ones still are up to you. By making healthy choices and seeing a doctor with the early signs, you can have a normal sex life as you age.
